Additional Information
Critchfield House has taken a significant role in the history of Bosham Village. It is believed evidence of Roman occupation was discovered during the refurbishment of the property in the 1980s and is also thought that the foundations may be those of an earlier monastery which stood on the site, as Saxon stones were uncovered which are now in the hallway being similar to those found in the Bosham Church. Critchfield House over time has served as a vicarage and a Hotel and B&B but in more recent years has been a charming family home.
