Dorothea III is a proven world explorer with a long range, high fuel efficiency and self-sufficient capabilities. Dorothea III was designed by Ron Holland and built by the Cheoy Lee shipyard for an experienced owner, and in 2008, the motor yacht won the ShowBoats Award for ‘Best New Series Yacht Over 40m’.
This steel-hulled vessel runs on a highly reliable CAT 3512B main engine and a CAT C-7 auxiliary engine, delivering a maximum speed of 14.5 knots.
Dorothea III’s GRP superstructure is low maintenance and during her last refit, Dorothea III had her engines, generators and mechanics serviced, as well as a hull repaint.
Across her four decks Dorothea III can accommodate up to nine guests, in an arrangement comprising a master suite with owner’s study and lounge, a VIP suite, one double, one twin, and the gym can be converted to provide one more single berth cabin. There are also separate crew quarters with a double cabin for the Captain, two twins and two single cabins.
Dorothea III has a timeless exterior design and her interior is contemporary with all the expected amenities and her décor has subtle oriental influences, featuring Makassar ebony and walnut flooring.
Dorothea III carries her tenders forward, housed below deck, and these are easily deployed and recovered by crane.
